Car Parking and Entry
The location map clearly details the LG Arena and adjacent car parks. Directions to the appropriate car park will be provided on arrival. The doors will open at 12.00 noon(the NEC will not allow any athlete, spectator or official entry into the arena prior to this time). Again, signage will direct you to the main entrance. Please note that the standard car parking fee at the NEC is £8.00.
Security
For health and safety reasons, NEC staff will not permit certain items to be brought into the Arena. This includes cans, flasks, glass bottles, air horns and balloons. In addition, pushchairs will not be allowed into the Arena. Banners with poles over 12" should only be brought into the NEC by competitors. These will be taken to the Arena Floor and will not be permitted in the seating areas. Your help in sharing this detail with athletes and supporters is welcomed.
Photography and Video Recording
It is appreciated that many team managers and spectators may wish to take photographs and or record images. The taking of photographs and the recording of images will be permitted from the seating areas only. Spectators will not be required to register for use of cameras.
Please note that only accredited photographers and camera operators will be permitted access to the Arena floor on the grounds of health and safety and the welfare of young people. The number of accreditations being permitted will be restricted.
A number of professional photographers will be attending the UK Final, providing coverage for national, regional and local media. Some will be offering photographs for sale both during and after the event. Full details of their services will be available on the day. A number of these photographs will be used in post event publicity and may be used by Sportshall in future event and promotional literature. All photographers receiving accreditation will be expected to observe Sportshall’s Guidelines governing Photography and Video Recording.
Officials
We would welcome any additional officials (We can accommodate a range of experience and qualifications and have many different duties available). Please contact claire@sportshall.org for more information.
